Mr. Paul Nathaniel Gibson, Jr. "Tall Paul" was born in Logan County in the state of West Virginia on May 30th, 1940.

He was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System, where he played basketball at R. T. Coles High School and graduated in 1958.  Tall Paul then went on to attend college at Central Missouri State University where he studied Journalism for 2 years.

He later joined the Army and became a Vietnam Era Veteran.  Mr. Gibson received a Good Conduct Medal and was recognized as a sharp shooter and a 701.10 Informational Specialist (Reporter).

After the service, Mr. Gibson worked as an Administrator for MoKan and as a Construction Laborer for the government in Urban Renewal.

Mr. Paul Gibson departed this life Tuesday, April 18th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul N. Gibson Sr.; two brothers, Alan Gibson and Harrison Gibson; one sister, Cheryl Martin; and one son, Steven Gibson.

Mr. Gibson leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Juanita Gibson; one daughter, Paula Grimes (Las Vegas, NV); one sister, Jennifer Gibson; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
