Pearlene V. Bacon-Williams affectionately known as "Pearl" was born June 21, 1941, in Pickens, Mississippi to the late Theodore Roosevelt Bacon and Lucy Foster-Bacon.  She was the ninth child born to this union.

Two husbands and five siblings, Alberta, Woodrow, Ida, Willie and George preceded her in death.

Pearlene accepted Christ early in life and joined Mary Magdalene Baptist Church in Camden, MS.  She was an honor graduate of Velma Jackson High School in Camden, MS.  After graduation Pearlene moved to Kansas City, MO.

Later she joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the late Lee E. Freeman, Sr. She next joined Haven of Rest Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her health failed.

Pearlene enjoyed writing poems, gardening, sewing, fishing, painting ceramics and help others.

On Monday, April 1, 2019, at 3:00 A.M. at Sunterra Springs Rehabilitation Center in Independence, MO, God called Pearlene home to be with him.  She will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Forrest W. Williams of the home; sons, James Galloway, Jr. (Sheila), Earl Galloway (Kandis); stepsons, Forrest C. Williams of San Antonio, TX, Dewayne Black of KCMO and David Taylor of Topeka, KS; daughters, Sharon Goodloe (Rod); stepdaughters, Jenine Nelson (James), Lauren Reece of Atlanta, GA; godson, George Cain of KCMO; goddaughter, Cinthea Williams; brothers, Roosevelt Bacon, John H. Bacon (Rosie) and Jerry Bacon (Hazel); sisters, Mary Green (James) and Rosie Wiley all of KCMO; special niece, Michelle Bacon of Hattiesburg, MS; special friend, Vesser Simmons of KCMO; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Bacon-Williams will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Haven of Rest Baptist Church.  Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
