Phyllis Jean Douglas affectionately known as "Tudy" was born at KU Medical Center, January 16, 1953, to the union of Nathaniel L. Logan Sr. and Ella L. Logan, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Anita L. Johnson, brother-in-law, Jimmy L Pouncil Sr. and her stepson, Brian Garner.

Phyllis attended school in the Kansas City, Missouri School District and graduated from Manual High School in 1971.  She was united in holy matrimony to Ronnell Douglas in 1971, and to this union three children were born, Rhonda, Anthony and Shekeela. She was a loyal and dedicated employee at Sears for many years and later retired from Walmart after 30 years as a Manager. She was a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri where she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved shopping with her daughters and had the perfect interior decorating skills.

Phyllis attended Calvary Chapel Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized with His Holy Spirit. She was known for her contagious smile and loving and caring spirit. She always had encouraging words for anyone who crossed her path. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

On Thursday, February 25, 2021, the victory was won, and Phyllis went home to be with the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Ronnell Douglas; daughters, Rhonda Davis (Martae), Shekeela Douglas (Devin Drew); son, Anthony Douglas; sisters, Carol Pouncil and Cheryl White (Wendall); brother, Nathaniel L Logan Jr. (Cynthia); stepdaughters, Nina Dawkins, Nakita Fuqua, Lavanda Vanoy, and Teya Bradley; stepsons, Reese Fisher, Ronnell Garner (Kimberly), Marlon Dawkins (Chalonda), Vonnell Dawkins, and Kevin Rogers; grandchildren, Rondell Morris, Anthony Douglas Jr., Antonia Douglas, Marquan Simmons, Justin Thomas, and Aarlon Scott and host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Mrs. Douglas will be held 12:00 P.M, Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Drexel Hall, 3301 Baltimore, KCMO 64111, with Minister Wendall White, officiating.  Burial Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the Hall.
