Quilla Levert Stafford, Jr. was born on June 9,1940 in Texarkana, Texas to the union of Quilla Levert Stafford, Sr. and Ruby Dolly Swink-Stafford. He is preceded in death by his parents, uncles William Swink and Q.T. Swink.

Quilla was educated in the Texarkana School District. After high school, he moved to Kansas City, Missouri.

Quilla worked as a Sanitation Engineer for the University of Missouri at Kansas City until retirement. After retiring, he worked as a Laborer for Brancato Catering Company until his illness forced his second retirement.

Quilla loved to play baseball in his younger day.  He was an avid watcher of various sports. He  loved playing basketball at UMKC with his daughter Angela watching. He loved dancing.

Quilla loved visiting many parts of the city via riding the city bus .

Quilla entered eternity on May 11,2023 at home.

Quilla leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Yvonne Stafford of the home; five daughters Angela Bell, Sandra Carroll, Cheryl Stafford, Brittany Stafford, Janee' Brooks; four sons Byron Stafford, William Stafford, Anthony Massey, Lamar Brooks; life partner Marilyn Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
