Robert Hollinger, 73, of Kansas City, MO passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at VA Medical Center.  Robert was born to Mose Ella and Amos Hollinger, Sr. He was preceded in death by his mother and father along with, Amos Hollinger, Jesse Hankins,  two nephews, DeLano Hollinger and Kevin Hollinger.

He went to school at Central High School.  He worked for Lake City Ammunition Plant and Eagle Printing for several years until retirement.  He served as a proud Vietnam Veteran in The United States Marine Corp, as Lance Corporal, and was Honorably Discharged in 1969.  He was involved in the Buffalo Soldiers Ninth & Tenth (Horse) Calvary Association in 2016, and was a member of American Legion Wayne Minor Post #149 Legionnaire.

He was a beloved son, father and brother who lived his life to the fullest and loved making people laugh.  His favorite pass time was cooking, cracking jokes, and watching cowboy movies.  He was a great historian when it came to knowing information about the family and could tell the best stories.  He was very devoted and giving to his church family, Central Christian Church.

Robert is survived by Children: Linda Lee (Anthony) Richardson, Baraka Lee, and Phillip Wynn; sisters, Wilma (Michael) Ellington and Patricia (Otto) Hankins-Ross; grandchildren, Imani Jones, Brakayla Lee, Brajae' Lee, Baraka Lee, Jr., JaDeon Lee, Salece Mose Ella, Jaleon Vonsooten, Javonte Michele, and Zion Gordan; niece, Charlene Turner; nephews, Tre 'Mond "Tre" Turner and David Hollinger and a host of other family members and friends.

He will truly be missed, honored, and held dearly in our hearts.

Graveside Services for Mr. Hollinger will be held 1:30 P.M., Friday, November 13, 2020, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
