Ronald "Ronnie" Grubbs Dean departed this life Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He was born to the loving parents of Thurman and Pauline Dean on September 2, 1948, in Springfield, MO.

Ronnie's parents raised him and his siblings as Baptist at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Central High School and graduated in 1966, where he was an amazing athlete in basketball, track & field. He then attended junior college in St. Joseph MO. Ronald served in the United States Navy (1969-1971).

After returning to Kansas City from Vietnam, he worked for numerous employers as a correctional officer and bartender. Ronald met the love of his life, whom he affectionately called "Ann" and married July 30 ^th , 2000. Ronald was the proud father of "little" Ronald Dean, Nicole, Deborah, and Steven. He stayed up to date on all things politics and sports.

Proceeding him in death, his mother, (Pauline Grubbs Dean - 1985); father, (Thurman Dean - 2006); his brothers, Allen Charles Dean, Gregory Thurman Dean, and Gerald Leon Dean.

His cherished memories are held by his wife, Theresa Dean; sister, Brenda (Robert) Sylvan; his uncle, Percy (Ivoe) Dean; six grandchildren; one great-grand child; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
