As We Knew Her

Rosalind "Mia" Jordan, 66, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Blue Springs, Missouri. She was born on March, 15, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to Elder Alphonso and Delores Bell. She was educated in the Kansas City Missouri school district and graduated from Central High School in 1973. Rosalind would go on to get a Bachelors and two Master Degrees, which led her to teach in the Kansas City Public School District. She retired June of 2021.

Rosalind accepted Christ at an early age and remained faithful until her death. She attended Evangelistic Center under the leadership of Bishop Jack C. Vaughn, where she worked faithfully as a member of the hospitality team for many years.

Rosalind was a pure heart, and would give you her last. While she loved to have fun, laugh and watch westerns, she was about business. She took pride in teaching her students life lessons that they could take with them even after leaving her class. Her grandkids didn't stand a chance at not learning each and every time they came to visit. She enjoyed supporting her family in whatever they needed.

While she was a soldier for the Lord, she was the family support system and she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. There is no question that she loved teaching her grandchildren about serving the Lord and black history. She was a third of the "Bell" kids.

Rosalind leaves behind: her loving son Robert; her best friend/daughter, Ariane; grandsons, Taevion Harris, Jacob Johnson, Amir Rashid and baby girl Parker Rashid and a host of relatives and friends.

While we will miss you dearly, we know that you are resting in his heavenly arms with Dad, Nana and your sister Jan. This is not a goodbye, simply a see you later.

Services for Ms. Jordan were held 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 29, 2021, at Evangelistic Center KCKS. Burial Forest Hill Cemetery.
