A Time to be Born

Rosie Lee Clark & her twin brother, Roosevelt Ammons were born on August 06, 1931 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Clark was one of 11 children born to Will & Effie Ammons. To the blessed marriage of Mr. Lee Everett Clark & Mrs. Rosie Lee Clark were born six boys & two girls.

A Time to Live

In harmony with Romans 10:9-10, Mrs. Clark confessed hope in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ at a tender age in her life. Rosie's family moved from England, Arkansas to Southeast Missouri, where she met Lee Clark. In 1949 Lee Everett Clark & Rosie Lee Ammons were united in holy matrimony. Relocating from Southeast Missouri to Kansas City, Mr. & Mrs. Clark connected with the Friendship Baptist Church under the Pastorate of Rev. Isaiah H. Henderson Jr. At Friendship Mrs. Clark partnered with the Martha Circle of the Women's Missionary Union. Lee & Rosie were faithful students of the Sunday School Ministry at Friendship Baptist Church studying the scriptures in Class #5. Mrs. Clark sang with the Adult Sanctuary Choir for more than 60 years. Rosie's culinary skills were second to none. A few of the unique dishes she introduced to the family was, mouthwatering mulberry cobbler, ice cream made from fresh fallen snow, & a scrumptious bowl of corn bread & buttermilk. On numerous occasions preceding the family meal, Mrs. Clark would prepare plates for sick neighbors having them delivered before her family sat to eat. As a member of the Zebulun Sheepfold when called upon to prepare meals for grieving families, Rosie Lee was always eager to assists. Her hobbies included fishing & gardening. Rosie's employment history consisted of: the Luce Mfg. Company, a professional baker at Baptist Memorial Hospital, & child care in her home. The children she cared for were affectionately called "bright eyes" & her "little money makers". With family & friends in attendance, Mr.  & Mrs. Lee E. Clark joyfully celebrated 50 years of wedding bliss in 1999.

A Time to Die

Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Rosie Lee Clark transitioned from the shores of this physical life to embark upon the shores of that spiritual-new & better life, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 9:20 A.M. at the family home. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lee E. Clark; her parents, Will & Effie Ammons; six brothers, Ollie, Odis, DePriest, Will Sr., Arthur, & Algene. Three sisters, Willie B. Ammons, Roberta Denson, & Zadie Jordan.

Rosie Lee leaves to reflect on her countless meaningful life experiences, her children, Charles E. Clark, of Arlington, Texas; Dr. Artis L. (Gail) Clark, of Lenexa, Kansas; Deacon Wade (Carmelita) Clark of Kansas City, Mo; Wanda (Carl) Boyd of Grandview, Mo; Diana Gamble of Saint Louis, Mo; Earl (Christie) Clark of Kansas City, Mo; Anthony (Donna) Clark of Fort Worth,Texas; & Eric E. (Hope) Clark of Kansas City, Mo. One sister, Vadie Kirkendall of East Saint Louis, Illinois. Ten grand children, Sherese (Terrence) Wilson of McKinney, Texas; Christopher (Leilani) Clark of Austin, Texas ; Michael Clark of Arlington, Texas; Lovette Clark of Kansas City, Mo; Wade Clark Jr. of Kansas City, Mo; Artis Clark II of Lenexa Kansas; Brandon Clark of Lenexa, Kansas; C'na McBride of Saint Louis, Mo; Victoria Clark of Kansas City, Mo; & Aaron Clark of Kansas City, Mo. Also close friend, Mrs. Bennie Rayford of Kansas City, Mo. & a multitude of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Service for Mrs. Clark will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 11, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church.  Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the church.
