Rosie Lee Moore was born on March 18, 1940, in Dundee, MS to the late Robert Flowers Sr. and Oleavia Brady. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Hoskins Sr., Walter Lee Flowers, Robert Lee Flowers, Robert Flowers; sister, Bobby Jean Fields, and son, Reginald Benard Davis Jr.

Rosie grew up in Mississippi and attended Bonnie Blue Elementary School. While in school Rosie worked in the sharecropping fields picking cotton. This was not her favorite thing to do! At the age of 14, Rosie moved to Kansas City, MO with her siblings to be with their mother.

Her first job was at a local car wash on Truman Road. Rosie married her first husband, Reginald Davis in 1959, and during their union they had six children. She was a stay at home mom until her children were older. In 1968, she met her second husband and love of her life, Hobby Moore. Rosie and Hobby added two more sons, and Hobby's daughter to an already large family. During the marriage Rosie began to work at Children's Mercy Hospital in the laundry room and longed to provide a better life for her family. She decided to go back to school and get her GED in order to accept a position in medical records.

In 1994, Rosie was baptized and became a faithful member of the Kansas City Church of Christ. She was a part of the Gold Ministry and loved the perks of the ministry because she got to park in the front row. She loved her small discipleship group, giving folks hugs, and sitting with Ms. Mary Maples.

Rosie worked for 31 and a half years at Children's Mercy and retired in 2005. After retirement Rosie was a childcare provider to kids in her home for five years. During retirement, she enjoyed quilting, going to the casino, traveling to family reunions, going to church, talking on the phone, and spending time with her family.

Rosie leaves to mourn: her loving husband of 53 years, Hobby Moore; children, Michael Davis (Brenda), Cynthia Dorch, Sandra Brown, Stanley Davis, Charles Davis (Shelia), Sonya Davis, Hobby Moore, and Patrick Moore; siblings, Eva Lee Carr and Willie B. Flowers (Renee) of Texas and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Moore will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Kansas City Church of Christ located at 10250 Quivira Road, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
