Rubye L. Adams was born on February 17, 1925 to the union of Richard and Gracie Lea in Carthage, Arkansas.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Her parents moved her to Kansas City at an early age. Rubye was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District.  She attended Cripus Attuck Elementary.  She graduated from Lincoln High School.

After high school, Rubye met and married the love of her life in James Adams. There was one son born to this union, James R. Adams.

Rubye and James were married for over 48 years.

Rubye pursued an undergraduate degree in Biology.  This was accomplished in 1975 when she graduated from Park University. She, also, acquired a minor degree in Sociology with her Biology degree.

After college graduation, Rubye was gainfully employed as a Technician for Western Electric of Lee's Summit, Missouri.  She eventually became a Phlebotomist at Menorah Medical Center.  Rubye became a partial owner and manager of Consolidated Cab Company.  She would work this profession until she retired.

Rubye departed this life and entered eternity on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

Rubye leaves to cherish her memory: Son James R. Adams (Linda) of Kansas City, Missouri and granddaughter Jamela Adams of Kansas City, Missouri.
