Santhony Jerome Pickings was born April 15, 1982, to Rose Marie Pickings and Terry Lee Winston in Idabel, Oklahoma.

Santhony was preceded in the death by Terry L. Winston (father), Willie L. Winston (grandfather), Lewis Pickings (grandfather), and Armalee Pickings (grandmother).

Santhony was educated in the Raytown, Missouri Public School District, graduating from Raytown High School in 2000. After graduating High School, Santhony joined the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He completed the Navy Basic training and graduated in the Honor Division. During his service in the Navy he received various medals in the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and two Good Conduct Awards. He received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Santhony attended various schools to become an audio engineer then eventually becoming a Registered Nurse.

Santhony attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). After graduation he obtained various certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN), and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter Line (PICC Line) to advance his career in health care. Santhony worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit at various Hospitals in the Missouri and Texas area. Up until his sunset, Santhony was a business owner actively working as an Audio/Record Engineer from his home basement Studio MonoHouse.

Santhony had a love and passion for music and he especially loved making beats. Santhony's other hobbies were his family, coaching/playing football, fishing, and bowling,

Santhony leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Rose Marie Pickings; one brother, Lonnie Lewis of Spokane, WA; three children, Haley M. Pickings of New York, NY, Harmony L. Pickings, and Theodore A. Pickings from Kansas City, MO; his fiancée/companion of ten years, Paola Fernandez of New York, NY; stepmother, Gaye Johnson of Kansas City, MO; two step-sisters, Jalita Blankinship and Janee Jenkins; two nephews, Jamar Blankinship and Billy Jenkins II; best friends (Harry, Shawnie, and Jason); along with a host of other relatives, friends, and co-workers.

Visitation for Mr. Pickings will be held 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 23, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial immediately following at Leavenworth National Cemetery..
