Shanikqua Imunique James was born September 23, 1986 in Kansas City, MO.   Shanikqua "Nikki" James was the only child born to Sharon James and Randy Bell Baker. Shanikqua was preceded in death by her uncle, Kenneth James.

Shanikqua graduated from Northeast High school in Kansas City MO. She then pursued a college education and obtained her Associates degree of Arts in Psychology, her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and her Master's degree in Counselling Psychology.

Shanikqua always loved helping others which was obvious in the career path she chose in life.  She was employed with the Division of Youth Services (DYS) from March 1, 2011 – Feb. 15, 2015.  She began as a Youth Service Specialist at the Northwest Regional Youth Center before being promoted to a Service Coordinator position with (DYS) at the NW Regional Office. Shanikqua's other employers were Citi Trends and Holysmokes as a Customer Service Rep. and General Manager at Wendy's Restaurant in Grandview, MO.

Shanikqua loved the Lord and visited churches until the Carona shut them down.  She then was encouraged in the Lord by Television ministries of Dr. Charles Stanley and Dr. Tony Evans. .

Shanikqua was a very kind, caring, compassionate loving daughter and a very dear friend to many.  She was devoted to caring for her mother.

Shanikqua departed this life and entered into eternity on January 21, 2021 at the home.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories Sandra James, her Mother, her close childhood friend Megan Lane, her loving caretaker & close friend Angela Kemp, and a host of other friends.
