Terrance "Terry" Lee Shans was born on October 16, 1953, to the union of Robert Shans and Majorie Young.  He was one of seven children born to this union.  He is preceded in death by his father, his mother and five of his siblings.

Terry accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age.

Terry was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District.  He graduated from Southeast High School in 1972.

After graduation, Terry was employed as a salesman for Jack Henry Clothier. He, later, worked for a Railroad company and Merritt Ice Cream Company.

Terry was a friend to many.  He was the life of the party.  He had the most infectious laugh.  He was always willing to help others in need.

Terry loved to play card games.

Terry loved his visits from his brother, Steve, at the nursing home, which always put a big smile on his face.

Terrance Lee Shans entered into eternity on July 14, 2026.  He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter Terri Renee' Solomon of Kansas City, Missouri; three sons Terrance Lee Solomon, Steven Holly, and Kevin Smith all of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers Steven (Brenda) Shans of Overland Park, Kansas and Allan (Reese) Shans of Kansas City, Missouri; two special aunts Brenda Cooper and Shirley Wilson both of Kansas City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
