Terri Lynn Simmons was born on August 13, 1958, to parents Mattie Miller and Weldon Eugene Pearson Sr. in Kansas City, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her father.

Terri attended school at Central Middle School in Kansas City, MO and received her diploma from Central High School in May of 1976.

Terri was a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. Terri had a very long and successful career working as a Marketing Rep in the Healthcare Industry for over 30 years. Over the years, Terri looked forward to leaving work and returning home to her beloved husband, Michael, and four-legged companions which included Tina, Trixie, Chaka, and Jodee.

The joy of Terri's life came in the form of a son, Montay Jamal Simmons, born to Terri and Michael on April 14 ^th 1992. She and Michael enjoyed attending Montay's football games in Pop Warner, High School and College while cheering him on from the stands.

Terri accepted Christ as a child and was a faithful member at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in Kansas City, MO.

Terri departed this life on Monday, February 4, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves to cherish her memory:  husband Michael Simmons; loving sons Montay J Simmons and Maurice L Simmons; parents Mattie and Joseph Mercer; sister, Theresa Thomas; brother, Weldon Eugene Pearson Jr.; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Simmons will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ.  Private Disposition.
