Thomesia Allen Shields , age 59, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on November 15th, 2025, surrounded by the deep love of her family. Born on May 17th, 1966, she lived a life filled with devotion, compassion, love and warmth.

A devoted wife to Sheldon Shields, and a loving mother to Milton Garner, Jr., Malaysa Garner, and Maih Rivers; she poured her entire heart into her family. She was also a proud grandmother to Kylan Freelon, A'Brea Garner, Aidan Garner, and Jace Garner; who brought her endless joy. As a sister to Luther, Rodney, and Tonja, she remained the glue that held everyone together. She also cherished her nieces and nephews Kameshia, Martell, and Marcus as if they were her own.

She wasn't just a mother to her kids, she was a mom to the whole neighborhood. Growing up all the kids gravitated toward her warmth, her open door, and her ability to make everyone feel safe, fed, and loved. She created a home that overflowed with comfort, laughter, and guidance, becoming a second mother to so many.

She also made a deep impact on her coworkers and all of her children's friends, who adored her for her humor, honesty, and genuine spirit. Her presence made people feel understood, supported, and welcomed .. something she had a natural gift for. Something that will be deeply missed.

She loved her family fiercely and treasured every moment spent together. The holidays were her favorite .. especially Christmas, when she lit up with excitement and made the season magical for everyone around her. Her generosity, traditions, and festive spirit created memories that will last forever.

She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, boundless love, contagious laughter, and the way she made every person she encountered feel valued. Her legacy lives on through her family, her community, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness.

Though she is no longer with us in the physical, her spirit, love and light will continue to guide us always.
