Wardell Brandon Woods was born August 15, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri to Sidney Woods, Sr. and Christlena Lockhart (Lang).  His grandfather, Theo Lang, Sr.; brothers, Timothy Woods and Derrick Marshall; aunt, Charlene Jackson; uncles, Maurice Lang Sr., Wardell Lang, and James Earl Woods proceeded him in death.

Wardell confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church January 5, 1986 by his great uncle, the late Reverend Joseph Clark.

Wardell attended St. Martin De Porres Elementary and Southwest High School.  He held several jobs, including but not limited to, Inner City Oil Company, Enterprise Detailing, Heartland Coca Cola, and City-Wide Maintenance Company Inc.  As an entrepreneur, he was co-owner of 7-Eleven, a car lot, a detailing shop and a tow truck service.

Wardell was very talented, and he loved music. He learned to play the drums at a young age and aspired to become a rapper.  He wrote beats for other rappers in addition to managing his own group. He loved detailing his cars. He took pride in the up keep of his vehicles. In his eyes, every vehicle needed a new paint job and rims. Wardell made sure everyone knew he was coming from a mile away by playing his loud music with his beat. Wardell was a firm believer in keeping his home well maintained. He remodeled his house and landscaped his property.  Some would find him to be a bit OCD, but he was always fresh from his house to his cars and clothes. Wardell liked dressing up in clothing with vibrant colors. Wardell had an outgoing personality with a big heart. No one was a stranger to him. He showed love to everyone. He had the biggest smile. He was a big jokester. He loved to keep everyone laughing in the room.  But most of all, Wardell was a great father.  He loved his children and his family dearly.

Wardell transitioned this earthly life on May 29, 2023.

His memory of a life lived to the fullest will be cherished by his mother, Christlena Lockhart; stepfather, Matthew Lockhart; maternal grandmother, Marceline Lang; sons, Wardaye Woods, Maliki Woods, Damian Woods and Neako Woods; daughters, Samiah Woods, La'Ayra Woods and Arieon Woods; brothers, Chrisell Lang, Donzell Mayfield Jr., Sidney (Jamesetta) Woods Jr., Michael Woods, Reginald (Cheryl) Woods, Clark Woods(Utah), and bonus brother, Matthew Lockhart II; uncles, Jerry Lang (Glyndia), Theo Lang Jr., Warren Lang (Carla), Michael Lang (Regina), Bruce Lang (Shawn) and Curtis Woods (Joyce); aunts, Katherine Harris (Jerry) and Paula Lang; bonus daughters, Bryonna Coulter and Lynnae Garret; and a host of great aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
