With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Patrick "Chilly Willy" Davis , who left this life on Sunday, September 30, 2024. Patrick was 55 years old.

William Patrick Davis was born to William Lee and Mayme Elizabeth Davis on August 31, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Patrick grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended East High School graduating in 1987.  After graduating, Patrick went to work for the Kansas City, Missouri Water Department where he spent most of his career serving the residents of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for over 30 years.

Patrick was known for his kindness and willingness to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.  His sense of humor, dedication to family, and love of music are qualities we will always remember and hold dear.  As an avid musician, Patrick had a passion for writing music, playing, and collecting guitars. His love of cars, airplanes, and Star Trek could be seen in his large collection of rare model cars, airplanes, and Star Trek memorabilia.  In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with cars of all types. If there was a car show happening, you could find Patrick spending hours admiring the unique vehicles gracing the stage.

William Patrick Davis is survived by sister, Carmen Riggs of Kansas City, Missouri; nephew, Aaron Paul Davis-Taylor; Aaron's wife, Amanda Davis-Taylor; their children, Kiyla Davis, 21, Olivia Davis 19, Shyler Taylor – Morgan, 18, Lilliana Williams, 15, Ariana Davis – Taylor, 10, and Mehki Davis-Taylor, 6, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; nephew, David Scott Davis, Sr.; his wife, Julie Davis; their children, Abygail Okupski, 24, Evan Scragg, 21, David Scott Davis, Jr. 20, Ellie Scragg, 20, James Davis, 15 and Jacksen DaSilva, 14 of Valley Falls, KS.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee and Mayme Davis; brothers, Victor, John, and Ralph; sister, Olga (Monroe) Washington; brother-in-law, Chuckie, and his brother, Paul.

A service to celebrate William Patrick "Chilly Willy" Davis' life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, 4707 E. Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri. The viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. and the eulogy will follow at 12 noon.

While Patrick has left this life, his heavenly life is just beginning.  Patrick will be loved and missed by many.  Forever in our hearts.
