On August 15, 1940,  William and Janie Perry welcomed their son, William, into the world.  The family lived in Morrilton, AR and relocated to Kansas City, KS in 1948. Bill graduated from Sumner High School in 1960 as a star athlete in basketball and football.  He joined the Marine Corps in 1960 and met his first love Elizabeth  they were happily married until her death in 1979 To this union three boys were born:  William Jr., Michael, and Tracy.

Bill accepted Christ at an early age, joined the Roswell Church Of Christ, and participated in many activities to include Men's Day and fishing trips. He loved the Lord and loved fellowshipping with his sisters and brothers in Christ. Bill's deep baritone voice could be heard from anywhere in the sanctuary and will surely be missed.

In 1965, he began working at General Motors where he was a faithful worker for over 35 ½ years.

Bill married Betty Gilmore to this union welcomed his daughter Milia Perry. Later this marriage was dissolved.

He had a passion for living, enjoyed shopping at his favorite stores, kicked back in his recliner while watching MSNBC (with a hamburger and a COLD SODA POP in hand), loved tinkering , home remodeling,  (there was nothing Bill could not do or take apart). He loved hosting Thanksgivings, and having family around. Bill especially cherished his time with his sister, Mary, at BBQs, birthday gatherings and on any occasion.  Their bond was inseparable.

On April 1, 2005, Bill's love for life was completed when he married Shirley C. Triplett.  From that day onward the adventures began!  They joined the Good Sam RV group, traveled the U.S., visited family along the way and eventually became snowbirds. Bill enjoyed spending time with his friends down south as another KC winter surged on.

William "Bill" E. Perry, Sr.  began his journey with the Lord on March 24, 2023. His family and friends were blessed to share 82 years of memories with Bill. His smile, laugh, and spirit will be missed. Bill may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. His next chapter is free of pain and disappointment as it holds the promise of peace for a genuine soul.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Janie Perry; sister, Evelyn Wright; son, Tracy Perry, Sr. and nephews, Antonie Woods and Ruben Wright.

Bill leaves to cherish his memories:  His loving wife and faithful travel partner, Shirley Perry;  children, William Perry (Kwanza), Michael Perry, Milia Perry, Crystal Triplett-Barnes, Keesha Triplett; sister, Mary Woods; sisters-in-law,  Alberta Brown and Doris Winston; brothers-in-law, Delroy Hawkins (Anne), Stan Hawkins, James Hawkins, George Hawkins, Earnest Hawkins, and Milton (Chip) Britt;  nephews,  Maurice Woods (Tonya), Donald Woods, Ramone Wright; nieces, Marquerite Jordan, Denise Woods, Tina Brown, Chamelle Hayes (Bobby); grandchildren, Tequila Tripp McMullen (Leon), Terrell Perry (Taylor), Tracy Perry, Jr., Jordan Perry, Alicia Perry, Shaun Carter, Shane Carter  Rae Crumble, Christine Jones (Gregory), Christian Barnes (Gabrielle) and Langston Triplett; great-granddaughter, Elon McMullen; great-grandson, Ayden Ganaway-Jones; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
