Willie Lee Cunningham, Jr. , better known as "Butch", was born December 21, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee, to his loving parents, Emmit and Alleane Cunningham.

Willie was preceded in death by both parents, stepchildren, Andre and Ceville Wakefield.

Willie grew up in Wyandotte County, Kansas, at 323 Walker Avenue.  He attended Northeast Middle School and later attended Sumner High School.  He starred in football with interest from the NFL out of high school until a severe knee injury, his senior year, affected his dream.

Upon recovery, he worked several jobs and later attended Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kansas.  He earned a degree as an Electrician.  He had a career at Champ Service Line until he eventually had to go on disability.

Butch was a joy to be around.  He had a joyful personality.  He loved God.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.  He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and nephew.  He will be remembered with love.

He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Jacqueline Denise Cunningham, younger siblings, Marshelle and Gregory Cunningham; and stepchildren, Wanda Harris and Arvin Farrow, and many family and friends.
