Mr. Willie Charles Glenn Jr. was born on October 23, 1949, in Bigelow, Arkansas, to Willie Charles Glenn, Sr. and Ollie Mae Chitman Glenn. He spent his early childhood in Little Rock, Arkansas. Following the passing of his mother, his father relocated Willie and his brother to Kansas City, Missouri, where they were raised.

Willie attended Kansas City Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High School (now Lincoln College Preparatory Academy), where he distinguished himself as an outstanding track athlete. He continued his education at Central Missouri State University (now the University of Central Missouri) in Warrensburg, Missouri, where he studied business and marketing.

Willie married the love of his life, Sherry. Together they built a fulfilling life in the greater Kansas City area, raising a loving blended family. Willie loved the Lord, cherished his family, and was deeply devoted to his Shiloh Church family. As a faithful member of Shiloh, he generously volunteered and served whenever his health permitted.

Throughout his professional career, Willie worked for Ryder Truck Rental, Rent-A-Center, Federal Express, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Internal Revenue Service. He retired from the Department of Labor while living in Georgia and later concluded his distinguished career with a final retirement from the Internal Revenue Service.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Anika Williams, Tamira Southwood, and DeVonia Kenner (Amir); his grandchildren, John Williams, Shane Hall Jr., Mimi Martin (Henry), Ontonio Celestine, and Alexis Southwood; his brother, Anthony Glenn; his niece, Merinda Glenn; three great-grandchildren, Henry, King, and Cash; and many more beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry A. Glenn; his parents, Willie Charles Glenn, Sr. and Ollie Mae Chitman Glenn; and the great cloud of witnesses who went on before him.
