Willie Belle Weathers, 85, passed away on October 25, 2022, at The Healthcare Resort of Kansas City, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was born to the late Jim Henry Chandler and Lara Wiggins on March 16, 1937 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Willie married Willis B. Weathers Sr. on September 4, 1954 and settled in Kansas City, MO. Where they raised five children. She was a member of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Ks. She worked for Continental Can for 19 years; after retiring there, Willie enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and shopping for antiques to add to her collection.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Henry Chandler; mother, Lara Wiggins; husband, Willis B. Weathers; three children, Willis Weathers Jr.; Shirlene Weathers Quinn; Quintin D. Weathers; two sisters, Louvenia Chandler, and Lily Chandler Lyles; three: brothers, Henry Chandler, Sidney Chandler, and Arthur Chandler.

Willie is survived by her daughter: Annette Weathers, son Sanders L. Weathers (Peggy); stepson, Johnny Weathers (Geraldine); adopted son Lonnie Mitchell (Clara); sister, Aretha Chandler Hudson; brother Roosevelt Chandler; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Services for Mrs. Willie Belle Weathers were held Monday, November  7, 2022 at E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery.
