Wilnor Grace (neé Walker) Sheppard was born June 22, 1945, in Greenwood, Mississippi to her parents, Nehemiah (Ned) Walker and Annie Ruth (neé Collier) Walker.

On March 3, 1984, she married James Matthew Sheppard Jr.

She retired from the Kansas City School District.

Her children and by marriage:

James Walker, Terry Walker, Tony Walker Sr., Terry Tucker, Paula Turner, Trina Sheppard, James Sheppard III, Jewel Saunders Sheppard.

Wilnor passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of seventy-nine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nehemiah and Annie Ruth Walker; and sisters, Nellia Walker and Catherine Zeze, and her brothers, Ned Walker Jr, Michael Whitfield, Robert Qualls, Charles Qualls and son Robert Savage, granddaughter Talina Sheppard, father-in-law James Sheppard Sr. and mother-in-law Marzetta Sheppard succeeded her in death.

Wilnor's memory will be forever cherished and missed by her family and friends, everyone who came in contact with her felt the love and kindness that she distributed.

Wilnor enjoyed fishing, old cowboy movies, soap operas, her grandchildren and family.

She leaves behind her legacy and many loved ones: her loving husband of forty years ~ James; her daughters ~ Paula Turner; her son-in-law~ Tyrone Turner and Trina Sheppard; her sons ~ James Walker, Terry Walker, Terry Tucker and Tony Walker; her daughter-in-law~ Alisha Walker; her grandsons ~ Tony Walker, Terrell Walker and Tayvion Walker; her granddaughters~ Terri Walker, Cassandra Walker, Tyrianna Walker-Turner, Shakina Sheppard and Sierra Sheppard; her brothers ~ Johnny Walker, Jerry Walker and Billy Knighten; her sister Linda Walker; sisters-in-law Barbara Walker, Drenda Knighten and Mary Sheppard; brothers-in-law Ronny Sheppard and Sam Sheppard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, in-laws, and friends.
