This mission is being accomplished with Elliott S. Eley, Sr. and Mattie J. Eley faithfully serving in the Death Care Industry for 46 years. This dream of serving the community began in May, 1980. This is when Elliott and Mattie secured a financial business loan that would begin a quality funeral combination service that would meet a diverse cultural and changing community.

The company staff who opened the doors for business were: Elliott S. Eley, Sr., CEO and Licensed Funeral Director (LFD)-Missouri and Kansas and Embalmer; Mattie J. Eley, Vice President and LFD-Missouri and Kansas; Sandra Edd, Office Manager; Clarence Hickman, Retired KCMO Fire Captain and LFD-Missouri and Kansas.

Under the present management, E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc. has continuously experienced consistent growth through four decades of service. This present successful management team consists of Elliott S. Eley, II – CEO, Board Member, Licensed Funeral Director (MO & KS); Richard A. Eley, Sr. – Vice President, Board Member, Assistant Funeral Director (KS), Licensed Pre-Need Agent (MO), Life Insurance Broker (MO, KS, TX); Rossilyn D. Eley-Banks – CFO, Board Member; and Antonia Brown-Smith – Office Manager.
